This is my go-to le pain. The food is excellent every single time, the interior beautiful and the service is always good. I’m finally writing a review after I had Billy as a server, who I thought was one of the most focused and quick servers I’ve at there. His calm demeanor chilled out this high-strung New Yorker, too.
If you were to fuse Pottery Barn with Panera, this is what you'd get. Adjust your taste buds accordingly. There is nothing objectively wrong with anything but it feels sterile. Perfect place to meet your estranged Upper West Side emotionally detached mother for brunch before the holidays. Where the the food and echoes of friendlier conversation numb you to the drone of the crone that sits across from you. Waffle was decent.
I had a memorable visit to Le Pain on 88th street because of Joseph. I spent the afternoon into the evening working out of this cafe and his customer service was delightful. The food was prepared well and tasted great. If your'e in the neighborhood this location is worth a visit.
