Absolutely loved this place! 🥟 The buns here are amazing — juicy, flavorful, and super affordable. Each basket comes with six buns, basically $1 each, which is unbelievable for NYC! The spicy beef bun was my favorite, full of rich flavor and heat. The soy milk drinks were also refreshing, especially the Tieguanyin one. The shop is clean, bright, and cozy — perfect for a quick, tasty meal in Flushing. Highly recommend!
I didn’t enjoy my spicy beef noodle. The beef chunks were dry and tough. I’m also not a fan of rice noodles and that’s what was used in the dish. The broth was mala spicy but that’s all I tasted. I really didn’t get any other hints of flavors other than mala. The Chengdu buns were more enjoyable. The filling differed from the usual pork fillings you find in other shops and the assortment of flavors would entice me to come back to try other buns. Tried this place for the first time for lunch with coworkers the other day, and it was absolutely delicious. We got an order of the green pepper & braised pork buns and an order of the sprouts & braised pork buns, and my coworkers also got the spicy beef noodles and one of the porridge options. We ordered over the phone for pickup and the food was ready and waiting for us by the time we drove over, less than 15 minutes.
