Cool old-school New York spot and definitely worth trying once. I had the famous Coke float with ice cream — the taste was good, probably around a 4/5 for me. Nothing mind-blowing, but still a fun and classic experience. The place has a very nostalgic vibe and feels like stepping back in time, which makes it special. I took the day off and met with a friend of mine for a nostalgic meal. Lexington Candy Shop Luncheonette is everything I expected. I ordered a Coke Float (Vanilla Ice Cream in my soda) and a Butter Cheeseburger with Fries. My friend ordered a classic Coke with French toast, bacon and orange juice on the side. This luncheonette has been on my list of places to go for many years. Always a long line that goes around the corner, but it moves quickly. The staff inside is very nice. The food is very basic and simple. They’re known for their traditional sodas. Root beer floats. And desserts. I would definitely go here for the nostalgia factor and to have a Coca-Cola done in the traditional style.
