May 2026: Saw a sign outside claiming "best chocolate cake in the US" by Food and Wine. For research purposes, I felt compelled to stop and try the Brooklyn Blackout cake. Cake was tasty. Huge piece for $10.50. I'd stop by again. Next time, I would try the coconut cloud cake 🍰.
No wonder this is rated the best cupcake shop in the US! It’s delicious. We tried the strawberry, cookie dough, carrot and Brooklyn blackout cupcake. The Brooklyn blackout is supposedly the best but surprisingly I preferred the strawberry and cookie dough cupcake. Maybe I’m just not a chocolate girl. I loved the pink box and there was seating inside although we took it to go. I hope to come back soon! 🧁
