Luna Park is super fun and free to parooz and wander around! This iconic amusement park is bright and retro, packed with rides, games, food and treats! Highly recommend taking the subway down to Coney Island, lots of cool views and it’s only $3. We really had fun next door at Deno’s, which is free to enter as well as the pier. Beautiful beach area, soft fluffy sand! So fun, a Coney Island and NYC gem!
Nice park located right next to the beach. All the rides were open except for 1 coaster. Overall the rides were fun, but some of the rides are a little rough. The employees were friendly. It is pretty expensive! This is one of those parks you hear about your entire life, so you have to go at least once. You should definitely get some Nathan's hotdogs while you are in the area!
We made the mistake of going during opening weekend. While the park was relatively empty, and lines were short, it was not worth the headache of dealing with an inadequately trained staff giving conflicting instructions and incorrect information. The rides were supposed to open at 11am, but it was actually about 11:30. Additionally, only half of the roller coasters were running (the entire reason why we went).
