LUNETTA PIZZA ON 1st Ave (UES) is the BEST! LOVE THIS PLACE I CANT GIVE THIS PLACE LESS THAN 5 STARS BASED ON THE GOOD VIBES ALONE I paid 5 bucks for a great slice of Sicilian Pizza. I brought my own gigantic beer and they didn’t hassle me. In fact they never do and that’s part of the reason I come here. Locals come back again and again
Stopped by Lunetta with pizza expert Mario Mat, and it lives up to the hype. The technicals are spot on—excellent undercarriage, zero flop, and a perfect crisp. The MVP Pizza is a masterclass in sauce balance (Margherita, Vodka, Pesto), and the Grandma slice delivers that authentic "old school" NYC crunch. It’s an unpretentious UES gem with a staff that treats you like a local. If it passes the expert test, it’s a must-visit!
I didn't like the food. I ordered a plate of spaghetti with meatballs for my daughter because she loves spaghetti, but the spaghetti there had no flavor. The meat seemed raw. It was awful. I spent $30 and I regret it. We practically threw the whole plate straight in the trash. It was truly terrible. 👎
