The flavors are strong, balanced, and a bit fiery in a great way. The Madurai goat chukka was moist, meaty, and really spiced well. Not too spicy, the roast's sauce has that great color and the orchestra of spices to justify the color. The mutton rolls are spicier than expected but still good. The chicken kothu was mellower and well balanced, a bit heavy so be aware. And of course the wattapalam is the best way to finish. Custardy with cardamom and cloves, this was a throwback dish for me. Everything hit but it's too pricey to go all the time. The Ceylon cocktail with an arrak base was balanced well with their homemade lemcordial. Also enjoyed the Nannari Sarbath, another citrusy but herbal refreshing drink. In terms of food, we loved the chili mushroom. The egg hopper was also cooked perfectly to soak up the praw Kari. We heard about this restaurant a lot and happened to go there for dinner. In spite of reservation we had to wait for 30 mins and few other customers who reserved before us were still waiting to get the table. Receptionist wasn’t bothered at all. Food was good. Madurai Goat roast had few chewy pieces of meat. Overall experience was good.
