It’s been a while since I made it into Maison. I used to live around the corner and would stop in often for a late night cocktail at the lively bar up front with the always-friendly bartender. We had a reservation for 8 pm. The restaurant agreed to 14 of us. We waited for a long time for our drinks. We placed our order for food by 8:30 pm, only because our waiter didn’t come back until then . our waiter never said it would be a long wait for our food. , it took 40 minutes for our 4 appetizers to come out. Really enjoyed our meal at Maison Harlem. The fried oysters were crispy and flavorful, the ratatouille was fresh and comforting, and the croque monsieur was perfectly toasted with a rich, creamy béchamel, melted cheese, and savory ham. Everything was delicious. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service—we’ll definitely be back!
