This might be the most underrated snack in Chinatown. They make Malaysian Chinese-style jerky at Malaysia Beef Jerky, and it’s not your typical jerky - it’s soft, tender, smoky, and sweet. It’s closer to smoky barbecue candy than the dry, leathery jerky most people are used to. They have pork, beef, and chicken options (I like the pork one the most). A small, old-school shop with character. They sell 1/4 lb, 1/2 lb, and 1 lb packs. We bought chicken and pork jerky—both were tender and flavorful. My mom loved them! I especially liked the chicken one, sweet and savory at the same time.
Been coming here since prices were less than half of now at the old location. Still great jerkies, always get some spicy sliced beef. Bit more crowded touristy location here.
