This place was round the corner from my hotel. Its such a gem! It feels like its a place that locals know, not many tourists. Its definitely a family run place and has a great vibe there. The first time I went, I had the Cuban sandwich. My first time trying one and it didnt disappoint! The pork was so tasty and the bread crisped to perfection. Before I left new York I decided to go back to try the chicken. It was the best meal I have had! So juicy and fall off the bone. I will dream of that meal
Cuban kitchen that does a lot of take out and delivery business, with about a dozen tables inside. Order up, and take your food to your seat. Very pleasant staff, lots of choices as far as lunch goes. Lively, busy atmosphere. The restaurant seems to be known for their Cubanos. I know Cubanos. I have had dozens of them from dozens of places in Puerto Rico. And these Cubanos, sadly, are a hot, soft, steamy mess. But the coffee is delicious.
I'm traveling to NYC for business and just needed a quick lunch spot. Not only was Margon really conveniently located, the staff was extremely kind, informative, and accommodating. The food was INCREDIBLE and so well priced, especially for Times Square. I had the pollo al horno (roasted chicken) with yellow rice, beans, and tostones. Really top notch home cooked Cuban food. I am very impressed, and being from Miami, it felt like being back home. I cannot recommend them enough.
