If you want real homemade Dominican food this is the spot!!! And great prices. A lot of Dominican restaurants in the heights don’t even have Dominicans cooking the food if you’re Dominican you can tell the difference this is REAL Dominican food made with love.
It can't get more authentic than the authentic Dominican food that is served here at such a low price. I suggest that you try the tres golpes for breakfast, you will not regret it. And if you go in for lunch or dinner, don't forget the macaroni salad... I can't leave with at least two of them.
This place is the real deal: local, totally authentic, no frills. I speak a small amount of Spanish, and the staff was super nice and patient, though they did laugh a bit when I asked for my eggs sunny side up (I didn’t know how else to order it — I guess just go with “normal” if you’re not sure!)
