Love the vibe here, they’ve really nailed the French bistro aesthetic. We sat at the outward-facing tables by the bar, which feel straight out of Paris. Easily my favorite kind of seating for people-watching as everyone comes and goes. This place was one of my regular restaurants last summer. Insanely good fish and chips and the best foie gras ever! Sad to say that I went back today and it was terrible! The fish and chips that I loved before because the batter was fluffy and a little sweet is not how they make them now: it was more like expensive fish sticks and the fish was dry! The foie gras was no longer on the menu so clearly something changed and sadly to say, not for the better. I ate here 2/3 times a week last year. I’m
I used to order from here all of the time when I lived on the UES. Was walking down Madison today and saw it and decided to dine in for the first time for lunch. Service was great, other patrons were cool too (had a nice chat with the gentleman next to me before I left), food was delicious. Place is a gem.
