The staff let me in early and as a result I got to try several beers, my favorite being the Kölsch. I highly recommend going here for a meal or at least to eat while drinking. The schnitzel is very airy and light, a classic schnitzel. The pretzels are very solid; in fact all their bread is great. They also have a fantastic goulash if you can get it. Actually I recommend the goulash the most.
From the moment we stepped into Max Bratwurst und Bier Astoria, we knew we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was just perfect – a wonderful blend of cozy and lively, making it a great spot for a relaxed evening. They got tons of brats! The sauerkraut has bits of speck, the potato options cover all varieties from mashed to fried to salad! And the schnitzel comes as a regular entree or a BLT sandwich! What? All I know is I liked what I had and there is lots more to try! Not to mention they have ample outdoors seating! Can’t go wrong with bratwurst and beer on a hot sunny day!
