I’m gonna have to double up on my blood pressure medication after eating this food. It is highly seasoned with as much salt as they could find to put into most items. I’m extremely disappointed after spending over $60 to feed my family tonight but I had to throw almost everything away because by tomorrow the food will be completely inedible. I usually don’t write negative reviews but I felt that I needed to. The place is definitely a hole in a wall type of places but it doesn’t justify the quality. The other night my friends and I went for some sodas and an order of candied yams. The candied yams were complete mush and tasted like boiled yams. We got 3 sodas all sodas were expired 6-7 months ago. The minimum you need to spend is 10 for card and they don’t have Apple Pay. All in all upset to know this place nearby doesn’t really care
I ordered Fried Catfish, Collard Greens and Fries. For dessert I ordered Butter Cake.The fish was too Salty. The Greens had no flavor, ( forgot to add the seasoning).Who adds Chocolate Frosting to a Butter Cake. If there wasn't any Butter Cake available don't substitute for something else, let the customer know so they have an option to take it or not.Very disappointed.This is not a Good Way to Support Black Owned Businesses. I will never order again from Maxine on the Boulevard!!!
