If you haven’t been to Mazzat Brooklyn yet, you are missing out on one of the best hidden gems in all of NYC. This Egyptian family-owned Mediterranean restaurant on Columbia St in Downtown Brooklyn has been around since 2006 and the moment you walk in, you understand why. The warmth hits you immediately. It genuinely feels like home, the kind of place where you slow down, settle in, and just enjoy. The team is warm, attentive and makes every visit feel personal. Now let’s talk about the food. T
I did take out and I was really excited to get this highly rated mediterranean food. The good thing is, I didn't wait long. Otherwise I was not really happy with my purchase. For starters, they didn't send napkins or utensils...and my small hotel, I didn't have them either. So I had to use the lid of a to go coffee cup to eat the tabouli, which was mid. 10/10 vibes at Mazzat! Joel, Jay and Kamal were so warm and friendly, making the experience all the better from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and get the mint cucumber lemonade so refreshing especially with this summer weather! The shawarma and chicken kebab were completely spot on, and the homemade Kanafa at the end was next-level. Definitely coming back in person and ordering online!
