I had a troubling late-night experience at Freddy’s. I arrived around 3:30 a.m. alone and was not admitted. I would not object to that if closing rules were transparent and consistently applied. But based on my own prior experiences, the late-night situation there has not always appeared that straightforward. I have previously been inside late at night after the doors were closed -when I was with white patrons. I have also observed indoor smoking during late-night closed-door hours.. along with
The bartenders are always so welcoming. Great hidden gym. Come get a pint and have enjoy the night.
Everything. What a great find! In the course of one night we had great drinks, met several new friends, got into and out of arguments and learned a few things. Another great Brooklyn neighborhood bar that you know is good when the owners are there and come over to talk to you. I think my favorite thing was finding out that the bar was named after the owners dog who I also met!
