The best thing I can say about Miss Madeleine is that it’s a lovely bakery. I have only been there a few times but everything I bought have been amazing. I loved how they put pictures of people’s pets on their wall. It’s so charming. When I come to a bakery like this, it’s so hard to decide what to get because I want everything. Lol! I had the pear/almond tart, it was delicious (see photo). The tart's dominant flavor is not from almonds themselves, but from what seems like almond flavor enhanced dough. On another day I tried their banana bread which has a lot of chocolate chips in it. It was a nice blend of the two flavors making for a pleasing dessert. The blending was such that it was hard to tell which of the two flavors dominated, if either.
