While reviews do not agree with me, I think this is the best in town! Food is amazing, celiac safe, and service is super kind. The girl at the counter was very nice and we really appreciated it. I strongly suggest you to try their donuts, cheese pizza sticks, and the cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese.
Everything here is gluten free!! This was a highlight in my recent trip to NYC. The service was really friendly here and the food was delicious. We travelled from the Nomad area just to try modern bread and bagel and we weren’t disappointed. The cakes looked phenomenal but we were too full to try any!
As someone who has been celiac for 12 years, walking into a bakery and being able to order anything I want has not been my reality — until now. Modern Bread and Bagel on 3rd Street was truly an incredible experience. For the first time in years, I didn’t have to ask a million questions, settle for the one “safe” option, or feel like an inconvenience. Everything being gluten-free made the entire experience feel normal — and honestly a little emotional. I had pizza, a donut, and a slice of cake
