This bakery and hungry ghost bakery in Northampton, Massachusetts are the best bakeries I have ever been to for sourdough bread. Moonrise also has the best cardamom bun I have ever had in my life and incredible cookies. Also, there is a cozy Chinese bakery across the street where I got a small milk tea for $1.50 and sat and ate my cardamom bun 😋
the people running the bake house are the best - really enjoyed learning about them and their store. the pecan cookie was awesome and the sourdough was even better. they bake everything right in front of you - and give u a lil bit history of each item.
Finally came here today after having it on my Must Try list for ages. Their current hours are quite limited (Saturday and Sunday: 10am to 4pm) but it's definitely worth the visit when you catch them open. They're so friendly inside and the place smells immaculate. I bought one of everything, including a baguette, hot and fresh out of the oven. We got a slice of the zucchini carrot bread, sour cherry streusel muffin, chocolate pecan oatmeal cookie and a double chocolate brownie. All 5 things came
