My family and I have been ordering from Mama Puebla for a bit and we typically order at least twice a month. It’s one of our favorite local restaurants, and we’ve even chosen it for many of our family celebrations because we genuinely enjoy the food and like supporting local businesses. Unfortunately, tonight’s experience was very disappointing. Our order included two fish taco meals (one with tostones and one with rice and beans), an order of steak tacos with tostones, and pork chops with rice
Do not go on a Friday. Happy hour gets loud and no music. So you literally hear everyone’s convo. The food was not great. The meat was not fresh, and the avocado had too much salt. I only went because I refused to cook that evening. And in regards to drinks. I had a margarita and it was good.
This is my 9th visit to Mama Puebla Restaurant, and every time I tell myself I’ll leave a review—but the food is so good I dive right in and forget! I absolutely love this place. It’s Mexican-owned, and Leo is one of the nicest business owners I’ve ever met. His staff is just as amazing—special thanks to our wonderful server, Lucero, and the talented chefs, Jose and Willi. I’ll definitely keep coming back, and next time I promise I’ll take pictures before I eat!
