Food was overall good, but soups were a bit MSG heavy since thirsty after. Bone broth had nice gelatinous taste. We got two soups and the seafood pancake, everything came fast. Enough to feed two but a little expensive for what it is, over $70 for dinner for two. I did not realize at the time but their calculated tip is based on post Tax and not pre tax. Beware.
I ordered the spicy pork ssambap and grilled croaker. The ssambap and pork were good. However, the grilled croaker had an off smell—like it had been frozen for little long time or stored in a plastic bag for long—which made it difficult to eat much of it. Up to that point, things were still fine. The issue came afterward. After paying the bill and leaving a 20% tip, I mentioned that while the meal was overall very good, I was a bit disappointed because of the smell from the fish. I was speaking
This is a wonderful place to meet up a small group 2-3 friends. It is not a very big restaurant so it’s not good for a big party. The food is shareable although the portion is a bit small to us. We ordered a marinated soy sauce crab, a beef soup, raw fish with pork, and marinated grill eel. I would say the pork is good but the raw fish is very traditional Korean dish.
