This was probably the worst Chinese meal I have ever had in my entire life. Mapo Tofu didn't even taste like Mapo Tofu; it also had peas and carrots in it, and I have had that particular dish in multiple different restaurants not only in the city but also in other states. I also ordered Egg Drop soup that was tasteless as if they didn't even add salt to the pot when making. I ordered broccoli with garlic, and it was like in the same sauce as the mapo tofu. I thought it'd literally just be sautée
Terrible experience. This lady seems she’s used to ripping people off. I ordered the House Special Mei Fun, a dish that costs $9–$11 at most Chinese restaurants, and No. 1 Restaurant Chinese charged me $17. When I questioned the price, they said it was because I paid with a card. Charging extra for card payments without clear disclosure is illegal in New York State. This is dishonest and predatory pricing. Not recommended. I will not return.
Very good hidden gem, as a foodie it’s hard finding certain places where you live that are great. I ordered the sesame chicken with pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs which were delicious. I’ll definitely be back
