A magnificent café in a prime New York location. The atmosphere is relaxed, featuring plush armchairs and good music—a perfect spot for our Sunday athletic group to unwind. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The coffee is outstanding, as are the bread and Danish pastries. Highly recommended.
Ole & Steen is a charming boutique coffee shop notable for its mid-century modern aesthetic, which contributes to a sophisticated atmosphere. We initially sampled the carrot cake muffin. While the cream cheese topping was excellent, the muffin itself was somewhat dry and lacked flavor. Although I understand a muffin may differ from a slice of carrot cake, I believe there is room for improvement in this item. 🥖 Our Daily Brød on Lexington 🍞 A new favorite on the Upper East Side - Ole & Steen near 87th St. I stopped in for a seeded rye loaf (dense, nutty, and full of flavor) and couldn’t resist their rye-based cookies and bites. Everything here feels both wholesome and indulgent.
