We stopped in to grab takeout while waiting in line for Josh Johnson at the comedy club and DANG, that bowl was gooooooood! Eating it on the sidewalk somehow made it even better. The flavors were fresh, comforting, and exactly what I was craving. This place checks every one of my Korean food boxes, and I can already tell I’ll be back regularly. The only complaint? Don’t run out of kimchi next time! If you’re looking for a quick, delicious Korean meal, this spot absolutely delivers.
Great first experience at Ongi. Very tasty bowl at a reasonable price with two different proteins. Basically Korean Chipotle. Nice dining area with great 80s soundtrack playing. Two different flavored waters also on tap. This was definitely a cut above similar alternatives in the area. I will be back.
Got the bulgogi with japchae which was delicious! The dumplings were just ok wouldnt get those again. Probably do a build your own japchae next time
