This sleek bi-level outpost of a Tokyo izakaya chain attracts expats with its Japanese home cooking.
From Google Maps reviews.
Since Ootoya Chelsea first opened I have been a fan of this authentic Japanese restaurant. Lots of Japanese visitors came to din in, a proof that food is good and has quality. Food is made freshly, ingredients are also fresh from Japan. There is also a bento box style. I got the salmon saikyo yaki set for U$25. Delicious
Great izakaya restaurant. Nice vibe. Kids love the katsu ju. The winter gozen is yummy. The tonkatsu is crispy and not greasy. Delish.
Used to be so good. Now they barely give you any food. They charging arm and leg. Also reducing portions.. They don’t even have a paper menu. They add sesame seeds to a multigrain rice. It’s far from authentic. Their agedashi tofu is literally sour.
