We’ve been wanting to check out this place for a while! The food was good. The dip trio was good, with the standout being the Kafteri. The hummus and tzatziki were fine but nothing to write home about. The saganaki was also good, but very rich and sweet - I’d say you really need at least 4 people to make this one worth it. For entrees, we got the lamb special, country style chicken & fried calamari. The lamb and chicken were great but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the calamari or the sauce it ca
A true staple in Astoria Queens. One of the best spots for lunch, dinner and brunch!! The owners are wonderful and their team is exceptional, specially Kolleen, the manager. She’s the best!! Pete and Chris have truly outdone themselves with the location and the food. Been here plenty of times, the cocktails are excellent and the food is delicious.
What an incredible dinner experience. Our server Gabby was such a special part of our visit to Ovelia. She was so knowledgeable on the menu & recommended the best dishes! We shared mussels, halloumi fries, & the thinly cut lamb chops (which were SO delicious.) I am not from the US and lamb is usually smelly here, but this lamb reminded me of home!
