Willing to forgive how late they ran with my online order because the burger was so darn good. Great char and smoke on the meat with rich sauce and a lot of accompanying items that don’t overwhelm.
My favorite restaurant in Astoria! The burgers are not your regular patties. The ground meat is flavored, almost like a "sausage" version of a burger. The toppings are fun, my favorite is the classic X Salada, but I've tried others and they're great too. The namesake of the restaurant, pao de queijo, is delicious - crispy on the outside, soft and chewy and cheesy inside. The only note I'd make about the food is that their fries can vary. My husband and I passed by this place after strolling through Astoria Farmers Market. Wow the food here is incredible! I had the picanha steak sandwich. My husband had the açaí bowl and cheesy bread. I had a ratatouille moment from the first bite of my sandwich. My husband felt refreshed (especially on a hot summer day) with his açaí bowl. Our server was also friendly and attentive. I strongly recommend coming here!
