We had a great stay! Every single employee we encountered was friendly and went out of their way to assist us - doorman, bellhop, front desk, etc. The room was spacious, much bigger than rooms at the Hyatt Grand Central nearby where I've stayed before. Location was great. You can see Grand Central from the hotel entrance. Renovations are very nice as well. $55/24 hr negotiated parking rate was reasonable.
This was unfortunately the most disappointing Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants property I’ve stayed at. I understand it’s a newer hotel and still finding its footing, but the experience didn’t live up to what I’ve come to expect from the Kimpton brand, especially for the cost of the room. The biggest challenge is the size of the rooms. They are extremely small and felt more like a cruise ship cabin than a hotel room. The bathroom was almost unusable given its size. Beautiful hotel, but serious issues with false advertising and no accountability The hotel itself is well-located and the front desk staff were genuinely helpful and professional throughout our stay.
