Very surprised after attending a small play on W 17th that no one would serve dinner after 10 p.m. but restaurants were full at the bars watching soccer. Until Pasta Eater greeted us warmly with a big YES! The warm and engaging service from three separate staff was unexpected along with the quick wine and quality tuna tartar. Absolutely incredible dish. The lobster was fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked, with generous portions throughout the plate. The squid ink pasta was rich and flavorful, coated in a savory seafood sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Every bite tasted luxurious without feeling overly heavy. I was at this popular Italian spot known for its homemade pasta a while ago with a larger group. The same group had been there before, and apparently, the first time, the food was a lot better. However, I still enjoyed my meal for the most part, with the pasta quality in general being very nice, though I found some of the food a tad salty.
