I dropped in for a quick coffee on my way back to the subway from an appointment. The cakes and pastries looked SOOOO yummy although I resisted temptation 😈 It was tough! Lol The patisserie has lots of indoor and outdoor seating. If I’m in that area again, I’d definitely go back and satisfy my sweet tooth!
The King Bread (Galette des Rois) at Patisserie Vanessa is absolutely delightful. The pastry is beautifully flaky and buttery, with perfectly crisp layers that give way to a rich, smooth almond filling. It’s not overly sweet, which makes it feel refined and authentically French. I was told the pistachio ones sell out quick. 😋Had it once previously along with a few others and enjoyed so I came back for more~ the two lemon ones were new. I especially loved the lemon tart~ perfect balance of flavors. Didn't make my insides cringe like when lemon sometimes can 🤪 gotta go back for more in the future.
