I love this hotel. Our stay has been so relaxing. The pool is hot enough to enjoy even in freezing winter temperatures, the food and drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. Happy hour is a plus. I haven't met a single staff member I didn't like. The room has everything you could want and it's on the same block as the 4 and 6 subway stop. I highly recommend making this your trip destination.
I stayed at the Royalton for a 3 day work overnight (I live in Jersey and had long hours over a 3 day period). I booked this hotel because it was in my company policy and "5 star" plus the pool. I will say the pool was fantastic and heated comfortably. The service was outstanding, from the doorman to the front desk staff. There are a few lounges they offer so you have plenty of space to spread out throughout the hotel, plus the breakfast place is very reasonably priced. Where the fall off comes
Mixed feelings overall. Housekeeping was very good and the accommodation itself was decent and comfortable. The front desk staff were mostly helpful and polite, making check-in and general interactions smooth. Exceptional service by the door waiters/luggage helpers. The experience was let down by staff etiquette at the bar and during breakfast at Ivy Restaurant.
