I recently dined at Persepolis. My wife and I made the trip from Northern Virginia while visiting our daughter, and we chose this spot for lunch. We received a Very good service by caring staff—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without being overbearing. I was back in town and came back to Persepolis after 30 years (1996). I remember driving all the way from South Jersey (Holmdel) to eat and take koobideh and sour cherry rice back home to keep me fed for a few days. And I’m so happy to see that the quality of the food is still incredible. One of the best Persian places on the planet I think. I recommended it to my good friends who live in Ft. Lee and we had a blast ( might have something to do with the fig martinis), and the food was amazing
One of the most delicious meals I've had in awhile. We got the shirazi salad and dolma to start which were delightful, perfectly seasoned. Then for our mains we shared the soltani chicken kebabs and the khoresht fasenjoon with the sour cherry and barberry rices. We were joking that we were glad this restaurant isn't super close to where we live in the city because we'd be here every day 😆! If you're in the UES or just looking for one of the best meals in the city, come here!
