A nice cafe that is open only during the warm season. It is located inside the beautiful green Battery Park. We come here every summer to enjoy the view of the Statue of Liberty and sum up our personal year. I love this place.
My wife and I got drip coffee and a latte here, the staff were friendly and chatty, they were personable and still got us our drinks quickly. Can't comment on the food as we did not get any. The atmosphere of the area is beautiful and we'll located but is obviously seasonal and weather dependent.
We happened to be at the Battery and wanted coffee and snacks and decided to have bagels. It's certainly not cheap but it was convenient, and we resigned ourselves to paying a lot for only adequate refreshment. But we were actually really surprised by just how good both the coffee and bagels were! (And we've lived in NYC—we know that it's very possible to get very bad coffee and bagels there!)
