((4.25 stars)) Pizza Cafe is very much a neighborhood pizza joint that caters to residents and the frequent visitors to the Dimes Square area that don't partake in Scarr's. while the space is pretty small only a few seats inside and a couple on the bench outside...the pizza is good and does its job which is to extinguish the "hanger" with enjoyable calories. there's a variety of square and round pies served here...almost too many imo—plus beef patties and other side items like wings. stopped he
Very good pizza with a nice balance of cheese & tomato sauce. The trending thin crust, dry pizza with barely any cheese is not for me. I don’t get why ppl watching their weight wanna feel less guilty about eating a slice of pizza & popularizing this thin crust, barely any cheese style of pizza that’s now overtaking NY pizza parlors. Including the famous Joe’s pizza whose pizza has become simply mediocré. It’s nice to finally find a place in NYC that actually puts a decent amount of ingredients &
When I am in the neighborhood this the pizza joint I always get my carbs from. I personally love their cheesy garlic knots but everything else is as delicious. And the staff is super cool and helpful! Go and support the local businesses! Buon appetito!
