Everything about PKLYN is a great: the venue, the staff, the coaches, and the crowd that plays there. I have being going there for over a year, 3 or 4 times a week. I have done various class and their beginner academy course - which were great. Just today I had a phenomenal class with Coach Bo, who was teaching 3rd-shot-drop and transitioning from the base-line to the kitchen-line. It was so helpful! I cant wait to put it in action. I also recommend his Drive class.
I’ve been to a lot of the indoor Pickleball spots in New York City and PKLYN is by far the best one! The coaches are knowledgeable and friendly and have very good cues. I took an academy which is a six week course and I see a huge difference in my gameplay. I went from mediocre to DOMINANT!! The vibes of the gym are super cool and relaxed, and the facility itself is clean and has a great aesthetic. The owner, David is running an excellent operation. PKLYN is the best! I come here more than any other Pickleball club for three reasons. 1: there is a consistent group of people to play with. I find at other places things end up getting canceled last minute because they don’t fill up. 2: the people here are nice and enjoyable to play with. The quality of play is high, but in general nobody is overly aggressive or fighting over nuances to the rules. Most people just want to play great pickleball and have a good time, at all levels.
