Porta 23 is a quiet standout place in the sea of dining options on this side of Astoria. The restaurant is cozy without being cramped, and an excellent choice for a quiet date night, girls night, or in our case, a chance to feed the whole family and avoid cooking! We’re always warmly greeted and served quickly. I love how generous the portions are compared to the price. We randomly stopped by this place last week and absolutely loved it. For the appetizer, we ordered the fried calamari — so delicious! I had the penne pasta, and the vodka sauce was amazing. Even the dessert was heavenly. This week we decided to come back just for the calamari again, and we also tried a new main course. Everything was great once again. We’re really happy and I think this might become our new favorite spot. Highly recommend!
My husband, 2 friends and I enjoyed an amazing experience last night with the appetizers, entrees, desserts and signature cocktails.
