Since I arrived very early for the Yelp experience at Royce Chocolate, I needed to put food in my digestive system before consuming sweets, so I stopped at Pret A Manger. Only looking through the window of the 59th street location as I passed by, I was very unfamiliar with this chain, I thought it to be a full diner or restaurant. There has been a dramatic turnover of staff. This is most unfortunate as they had a fabulous staff. Now, this is a photo of soup that is about 2/3s filled. The soup size has diminished but this one from 5/21/20026 is the woesr.
During breakfast, the manager asked me to move from my table because they needed to clean the area. Honestly, it felt like a joke. How is it possible that the place wasn’t properly cleaned before opening? This was very unprofessional and quite disruptive to the experience. Not acceptable at all.
