FOOD: I thought this was just a tea house that specialized in bakery items and of course tea. I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered the eggs, Benedict and the fried chicken and waffles. Their savory items are just as delicious as the bakery items. ATMOSPHERE: this location is a very casual vibe. Perfect for brunch for just an afternoon tea. Excellent tea house. It was easy to get a table for 6 without reservations. The afternoon tea has an emphasis on savories with less sweets which I deeply appreciate. All the food on the afternoon tea was very tasty and the price was excellent! Tea was also good and I really appreciate their use of tea pot warmers on the table which many tea houses don't use. I definitely intend to come back in the future.
We ordered a matcha strawberry mousse and it seemed old and not fresh. The strawberry had mold and the side of the mousse had a round dark spot. We requested a new one and we were told that it is what it is and the side that had a dark spot was oreos (on matcha mousse..?)
