Just began my new journey to another gym after canceling from Puregym, since the gym culture isn't the same it used to be back when it was Blink Fitness but that's a story for another time. It just feels good to see staff at the front greeting me in and showing me the ropes of the place. OG member here from Day 1 when they opened the First Retro in Glendale then joined Forest Hills Retro in 2019. Place was awesome and a great place to go to and so convenient for me to head to work right after a good workout. Now the place has literally made me put my membership on hold. The men's shower is absolutely disgusting. The showers have drain flies in every shower and they are huge. This is for the owner of the Rego Park franchise not the gym or the staff. The staff are great! It's disgusting that you have the A/C off on the 2nd floor on the hottest days of the year. There is nothing wrong with the system as this issue is not new. For members reading this, the temperature there is the same as the Woodhaven Blvd. Subway station. You should be ashamed of yourself. But, I am sure you are not.
