Two families (11 adults) visited for dinner recently. Since Sam Won Gahk is under new management and likely has a new chef, I was initially worried the restaurant might lose its diverse menu, signature flavors, or quality of service. Fortunately, they have maintained everything that made them great - in fact, the presentation and taste of the dishes are now significantly better. The seafood broth was phenomenal and it taste really good! everyone orders that because it’s delicious the jajameng was mediocre.
The food is pretty decent. I was disappointed with tangsuyuk. It barely had any meat and was mostly flour or breading.. it didn't taste like anything. The sauce made it marginally better. The rest of the food I had there was pretty decent. They also have parking behind the restaurant which is a big plus.
