There’s an immediate level of sophistication the moment you step into this restaurant. The room is beautifully designed, polished and elegant. Service mirrors that energy: attentive and fluid. I had brunch at Sant Ambroeus in SoHo on my first day in New York, and it was the perfect way to start my trip. I’ve also visited the Palm Beach location, and Sant Ambroeus continues to be one of my favourite brunch spots in the United States. The SoHo restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, and its location in the heart of the neighbourhood makes it a fantastic place to relax and soak up the city’s energy. Stopped in for an appetizer and then went next store for some cookies. Food was very good but the restaurant is extremely crowded and service was underwhelming. Rating is because of the food, if based on service at either the restaurant or the coffee bar it would have been lower. Prosciutto app was an extremely large portion, actually a little out of balance based on the mozz that was served with it. Mozzarella was very good, creamy with a little tang and I think maybe a sprinkling of salt.
