Notes: Rating for the style of food, and the only other good Halal cart/halal spot in the area outside of Turkish places is the similarly priced King of Shawarma & Falafel, which has worse quality meat. Also, they make the chapli kabobs to order, as they should, so order early or order something else if you're in a hurry. Finally, I have no clue how someone spent $20 on a salad unless they got Seamless or something (call the spot/go in to avoid all these issues.) This is the brick-and-mortar lo
I am a fiend for Shawarma. After looking up the best places in NYC, I walked some blocks to get here. I was not disappointed. Where have I been that I have missed this delicacy for so many years. I will say that the seating here is super minimal, and in the afternoon, you are absolutely baking in the sun. That part was not super enjoyable. With another review down, I can say that my life’s journey has unfolded once again. To many more Shawarmas, and to many more reviews for Google Maps.
This neighborhood is lacking in good quick takeout, and shawarma bay fills that gap. Always fresh, fast, and delicious. An awesome addition to the neighborhood.
