My first time to Urban Hawkers and decided to try this stall. Had the #3 plate. Fried fish curry over rice. The fish was perfectly cooked. The curry sauce was tasty. Was a mild spice. Will go back to try their other offerings.
I've tried a handful of spots at Urban Hawker, but this one might just be my favorite. I've tried their Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice and their Grilled Chicken Curry Rice. Both are so good. I can see why their curry sauce is in half their menu lol. The curry is not too spicy, and the flavors just hit. It pairs really well with the chicken, whether grilled or cutlet. They also add an immense amount of cabbage. I am a big fan of vegetables, so I always love when restaurants give generous portions of
First off, this food hall was fully of some many exciting vendors. It was hard to choose a place to eat - they all looked amazing but Smokin’ Joe won me over with the aroma of curry. The fish cutlet and curry rice was fantastic - savory and dense in flavor yet light. Highly recommend. Cons: it’s a busy food hall so finding seating is a ten minute activity, and I wish this dish was $15 instead of $19. Most dishes in this food hall are around $18
