We loved our visit to this place. Excellent selections of different illustrations to check out. Didn’t expect to find actual full bar upstairs. Got a patio to hangout with your drinks as well. Very cozy museum hidden in a very busy neighborhood. Free entry is available through the Culture Pass with library.
A small unique museum, I enjoyed the variety of illustration styles, you can see all of it in 45 minutes. I came in at 11 as it opened and I had some space and quiet to enjoy the art works. Easy to get to with public transportation, decent ticket price. I wasn't up for a drink in the morning but there's a nice bar at the top floor.
3 floors of exhibit space, the 3rd also housing a cute bar. Nice little gift shop. Wide variety of art from magazines to children's books. Saw the Edward Gorey exhibit and it was wonderful. A quirky addition to a NYC trip, or a must-see hidden gem if you live in the city!
