They say there is no great Slice shops in Murray Hill. Well, Spoto Pizza has entered the chat. The Margherita slice was definitely elite. Excellent crust. The San Marzano based pizza sauce could use some more salt but this is definitely a top tier Manhattan slice. Place is spotless. Owner nice. Got it fresh at Open and they delivered it to me well done as i asked which so many places dont.
Best pizza I've ever had. Period. Okay so this is the first time I've eaten pizza in New York, so me saying it's the best might not be that helpful. But I have to say I have been indoctrinated to proper pizza! We went half and half, my partner went with the veggie pizza and I went with a recommendation of pepperoni and vodka sauce (bit of green pesto to boot!). We were pleasantly surprised by this pizza joint! Walked in here on a whim after craving some NY pizza. We ordered the Margherita and pepperoni vodka pizza and they were phenomenal! The crust was thin and perfectly toasted. Toppings were delicious as well. People often think of stopping by other popular pizza joints when visiting NY but this place was one of the better pizza places I’ve tried. There are a few limited spots for seating if you are dining in.
