It is hard to find good good sushi sometimes in NYC and especially in Brooklyn Heights. I came in hopeful, but not expecting too much. The sushi exceeded my expectations with the freshness and quality of the fish. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the miso soup, which was a bit lacking in miso flavor. I will definitely come back for the omakase.
This sushi is FANTASTIC. Fresh ingredients and original special rolls. Each roll I’ve had here has been delicious. The atmosphere is peaceful and perfect for solo, couple or family dining. The rolls are reasonably priced in comparison to other dining spots in this area. I enjoy the food every time.
Sushi Gallery was honestly some of the best takeout sushi I’ve had. The real difference is the rice — it’s legit, and you can taste the care in every bite. The owners are a sweet older couple celebrating 20 years in Brooklyn, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The restaurant itself was home-y, warm, and filled with pleasant jazz. I really liked this place and will definitely be back.
