Excellent Omakase restaurant on the upper east side. Very high quality seafood, much of which is flown in from Japan. Professional Omakase chef and friendly, professional staff. Lovely atmosphere in this tastefully decorated restaurant. Most patrons sit at the counter where they can chat with the chef who presents an array of delicious delicacies, which may vary seasonally and even daily. Excellent selection of sake. Sushi Jin does not disappoint! Came back here a second time after two years and the food and service are impeccable! The sushi rice is cooked and seasoned to perfection (they make it small so you’re not stuffed on rice) and the fish portions are GENEROUS. You can tell that the chef loves doing what he does and the staff are also extremely attentive and friendly. It is truly the best omakase experience in the city!
Came here as a birthday treat for an Omakase meal. The service was maybe a little bit too good with the server who kept trying to move my seat for me when I got up and sat down, but she was very nice. The food was also really good and I was full by the end, which is a nice sign for an Omakase, but it was bar seating, and the people next to us were a little bit too talkative and a little bit too loud.
