Sushi Ryusei is a neighborhood gem. The food is always delicious. The best ingredients are used. The fish is always fresh and top quality. The service is friendly and professional. The decor is beautiful. We love the omakase with Chef Masato Oyama. Thank you for a great meal
Ryusei is my FAVORITE sushi restaurant. I’m from Japan originally, so I’m pretty cautious when it comes to dining at sushi restaurants in the US. New York City has amazing Japanese restaurants, but I do try to find the most authentic places — and this is IT. The fish is fresh, the rice is perfect, the servers are super attentive, and the atmosphere feels polished and refined without being stuffy or intimidating, making it perfect for a special date night. 🤍
Delicious omakase in a vibrant neighborhood spot. Service was extremely graceful as my wife had to cancel last minute and then our remaining guest was not super adventurous and didn’t want omakase. They still allowed us to sit at the bar and came up with good options for my guest while I had the sushi and sashimi omakase.
