I love Taco Express and have been a regular customer since they opened this Bell Blvd location. I've been to their other locations, and usually go to both this location and the Adobo location in Jamaica, and they always leave me satisfied with massive, amazing portions. However, I went today, and I don't know if it's because I was helped by a new employee who I've never seen, or if management is changing policies, but my food was heavily skimped. Not a bad burrito. The grilled chicken was flavorful and moist, and the ingredients were fresh. Price was decent too. The weak link here though is the rice… Good Mexican rice has a rough fluffy texture and a savory taste. The yellow rice they use here is slick and bland, like the kind of rice you get in a microwaveable bag. This is unfortunate because the rice makes up a good part of the burrito. I found myself emptying out as much rice out as I could. Next time, I’ll pass on the rice.
My daughter is in the craze for Birria Tacos since we have been back from Cancun. Was pleasantly surprised to find delicious Tacos from “Taco Express”. Really won’t expect good Tacos from the name. I ordered Chicken Birria and my daughter ordered Beef Birria. There was a promotion on Uber Eats- buy 1 get 1 free plus free churros for orders $30 or more.
