Nice quaint homey establishment! I dont have a single complaint. Every person that walked passed our table was personable & friendly. The silverware was polished. I was completely impressed. I will return.
I know this is not the place with the most visually appealing food, but it is genuine. It felt homemade, like a meal made with love. I really enjoyed it. They have good spice, and the birria nachos were excellent. The birria tacos were delicious, and the chilaquiles were spectacular. I highly recommend it if you are looking for authentic Mexican food beyond just tacos. It is clearly understaffed, it takes them a while to take the order, they are also running all over the place.
I’ve been coming here for years, so much so that the staff has started to feel like family. The quality of the food and drinks is always consistent and I am always greeted with the same kindness. They have my favorite chicken burrito in NYC. If you live in the neighborhood and haven’t tried it yet you’re missing out!!!! If you don’t live in the neighborhood, it’s definitely worth the trip. (I also recommend the passionfruit margarita on the rocks with sugar on the rim).
